If you are planning a wedding in Poland this year, you are certainly also analyzing this difficult situation at the moment and wondering how the coronovirus epidemic can affect your big day. First of all, keep calm and stay in touch with your subcontractors / vendors and get ready for Plan B.
The situation around the coronavirus epidemic is changing dynamically. WHO (World Health Organization - editor's note) announced a pandemic in the world and an epidemic emergency was introduced in Poland. The
key for organizing a wedding in Poland is now that it is not possible
to organize a wedding. A ban on religious gatherings and meetings of
more than 5 people was introduced. Restaurants and wedding venues
are closed i Poland. Answers to questions are also unknown - when will life be normal and free of coronavirus again.
Both you - the young couple and even the most experienced people from the wedding industry could not have foreseen a global pandemic that will affect the shape and schedule of the planned ceremony nad reception. That is why it is important not to panic and try to get along with the owners of the venues, music bands / DJs, photographers and other your subcontractors. It is a difficult situation for everyone, so I believe that together you will try to find the golden solution.
Wedding and coronavirus. Better postpone than cancel.
Development of plan B, the so-called Emergency for your wedding and reception should be a priority. Right now, I am advising those marrying in May and June to push their weddings to later in the summer or fall. This solution will give you greater psychological comfort. Contact your subcontractors - because of the current situation. They are ready to change the concluded contract and even to work in a new time available to everyone. A wedding in autumn or winter can also be beautiful. Also, don't be afraid to transfer the organization of the wedding to any day from Monday to Friday or Sunday. If you are planning a wedding in the summer and are thinking of canceling it, then first consider all options before you completely cancel it. Cancellations can be caused by losing money. We do not know if there will still be any restrictions in the summer, so it will be more difficult to recover advances when you would like to cancel summer wedding or later wedding.

Keep calm and stay in touch with your subcontractors
Regardless of the situation, remember to remain calm and continue your preparations. No doubt it's a crazy time for everyone. In addition to your family and friends, there are also your subcontractors who will certainly try to help you navigate the entire topic related to the organization of weddings during the epidemic. And I am hopefully celebrate beautiful festivities when everyone is safe!
I have some advice for brides- and grooms-to-be planning a wedding right now - make sure you have an experienced team. Having a planner who is well connected is going to be very helpful to help you navigate any of those changes along the way.
