Wedding in Poland by Dorota Nowakowska Wedding Planner

What could be dreamier than getting married at one of the polish country’s amazing mountain wedding venues, surrounded by all of nature? These locales are beautiful at any time of year. Those mountain wedding venues in Poland have a cozy feel, especially that can be appreciated during the colder-weather. They also make a unique alternative to the standard city destination wedding in Poland.

WEDDING IN THE MOUNTAINS IN POLAND

Wedding in the mountains in Poland - I love these landscapes, atmosphere and always fire on the dance floor! My grandparents came from the mountains. I often spent every summer there, admiring the beautiful views and family traditions cultivated for generations. Among the silence of mountain hills, surrounded by greenery, you can really relax. I am always happy to come back to these wonderful places, especially when I am organizing a wedding in the mountains.

WEDDING IN POLISH MOUNTAINS - BACIARSKA CHATA

I have such a favorite place for a wedding in the Polish Mountains (in Beskidy - low Polish mountains). This is Baciarska Chata in Kocierz Hotel & Spa, which is located at the top of a pass (750 m above sea level), surrounded by Beskid forests. There is no more beautiful place for a boho, rustic reception in this region. Natural wood, stone, panoramic windows showing the beauty of the highlander surroundings are the elements for which my wedding couples (and me too 😉) value Baciarska Chata the most.

See what a unique backdrop for a wedding is created in Baciarska Chata in the Polish mountains and what magical wedding receptions are organized in this place. Below are wonderful photos from the wedding of the Polish-German couple Magdalena & Michi, taken by talented photographers Dorota and Michał from Gałązka Fotografia. Place: Kocierz Hotel & Spa.

The world is full of magical wedding venues, patiently waiting for our senses to heighten to discover them. Sometimes the most beautiful of them as Wieliczka Salt Mine can be seen and even touched. And what to do when we are not always given such an opportunity?

"WIELICZKA" SALT MINE - THE UNIQUE VENUE FOR WEDDING IN POLAND

Open yourself to the senses and know such a place with the heart. This is what one of my wedding couples did, choosing the Wieliczka Salt Mine as the venue for their wedding ceremony and reception. They both come from the United States and, due to their profession, could not come to Poland until the week before their wedding. When they finally got the chance to see the Salt Mine in Wieliczka in person, they seemed to have known the place forever.

When I design and organize weddings, my priority is to get to know the Bride and Groom as much as possible and create such a unique experience for them. I awaken their senses so that every touch of love they put into planning their wedding will bring them the best and most beautiful experiences on their wedding day and memories after the wedding. Today I present a few frames from a wedding ceremony in the Wieliczka Salt Mine. My Wedding Couple chose this place for their Big Day with their hearts!

Cassie and Wojtek dreamed of  a romantic wedding in Krakow in the Tuscan style. They wishes was that every piece of their day was a direct and perfect reflection of their love. From the moment we first spoke by skype, I felt that Cassie and Wojtek are nothing short of kind, loving, and thankful. And I knew, their beautiful wedding in Krakow has to be a day to remember.

They both live in Great Britain and due to their professions, they could not fly to Poland until the wedding week. That's why all our planning and design was done via Skype, Whatsapp and emails.  The end result was nothing short of spectacular. When we finally got the chance to hug in person, it felt like we had known each other forever.

ROMANTIC WEDDING IN KRAKOW - VILLA LOVE VENUE

I am absolutely in love with their gorgeous May wedding in Krakow that featured the warmest spring colors and textures while being simple and timeless. Pastel flowers and golden accents created a modern Tuscan atmosphere that emphasized refinement, romance and elegance.

As guests began to arrive to Villa Love (venue for a wedding in Krakow), comments about the venue took off. Everyone was so pleased by the wedding environment and display of elegant decorations with the tuscan style. They knew that the toscana mood was close to the couple's heart, so they were very impressed with every detail of their romantic wedding.

OUTDOOR WEDDING IN POLAND - AN UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT FOR A POLISH-BRITISH COUPLE

As Cassie walked towards her groom, her eyes were filled with love and tears of happiness ran down at her parents face. Their ‘song’ played in the background as Wojtek turned to see his gorgeous Bride for the first time. Wojtek knelt on one knee and beat his hands to the rhythm of her heart. This was a moment they will cherish forever. After this significant moment, they were ready to hear the beautiful blessing given by their Pastor. They were also confirm their love during the civil ceremony that took place right after the blessing. As they held each others, shaking hands at the ceremony alter, they shared their vows in front of family and friends. The wedding ceremony was breathtaking!

After the ceremony, there was time for wishes and congratulations. Toasts were raised and speeches were beautiful. When it was time to eat a wedding dinner, the guests were very impressed with Polish hospitality. It was a unique experience for them to be able to enjoy dishes from all over the world during one night. They could taste Polish, Italian and English dishes. Tables with floral decorations, delicate tablecloths and napkins presented elegant and romantic.

The rest of the evening was filled with dancing. So much in fact that guests were sore the next day. Their Dj from UK, turned up the music and the night went until 5 am! This was an important moment for the Bride and Groom. They wanted all their guests to be able to enjoy themselves.   The final of wedding party, the new Mr. & Mrs. cut the wedding cake under the sparkler lights. Cassie and Wojtek remember how wonderful it was to be in such a stunning environment with everyone their loves. Their dream of  a romantic wedding in Krakow in the Tuscan style come true.

Together, we can plan your wedding virtually!  This is not a new concept to me as a response to the shutdown.  For years I have been working with couples by connecting virtually.   Because most of my clients don’t live in the same place as me. I am very happy that every year I create unique weddings in Poland for wonderful couples from the United States, Canada, Australia, France, England, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, China, Japan and many others (forgive me for not mentioning all of them;)).

Are you dreaming of a luxury wedding in Krakow?  My couple Cara and Jack did, too. They both come from the United States and due to their professions, they could not fly to Poland until the wedding week.  They relied on my professional guidance, pictures and links to pick the perfect all vendors for their wedding. I planned their Salt Mine Wedding by only communicating via video conference, phone calls, and emails. The end result was nothing short of spectacular. Cara said to me: „You really did tell our love story and every single detail reflected that. Our guests had a wonderful experience that awakened all their senses. It was brilliant! Thank you for every touch of love that you put into planning our day”.

Cassi and Wojtek dream of  a romantic wedding in Krakow. During the planning period, this couple lived in Great Britain with busy careers.  When you look through their wedding photos, you would never guess that the first time Cassi and Wojtek saw their wedding venue site was just days before their ceremony. All our planning was done via Skype, Whatsapp and emails.  When we finally got the chance to hug in person, it felt like we had known each other forever. I have to admit that at their touching ceremony, tears of joy ran down my cheeks 😉

The process of virtual wedding planning can be just as special and just as personal.  Allow yourself to get excited about planning your wedding in Poland and don’t delay your plans. You deserve to be celebrated!

They say God is in the details. Nowhere is this more true than when it comes to planning and designing a wedding. The wedding details make the event personal and special.

How do you design a wedding and make your guests say: "This was one of the best weddings we have ever been to"? Have you ever wondered how your wedding day reflects who you are as a couple? Your interests, passions, personal style? How do the elements you choose for your wedding design tell your love story?

A well-designed wedding day is all about creating a unique impression, which will translate into an experience for you and your guests. I will reveal to you some details about my design work  as a wedding planner, today. I hope they inspire you to create an immersive experience during your wedding. Remember that you are the Muse and you deserve to tell your love story in a way that guests will remember it for a long time. This one-of-a-kind experience and wedding details are what make your wedding unique and special!

To ensure that people walk away saying this was the best wedding they have ever been to, I walk through the experience in the same way as guests would. I am constantly asking myself what guests will experience at each touch point of the wedding. What will it they see? What will they taste and smell? What sounds will they hear? What will they touch? Everything I add into a project has to have a right function, as well as all wedding details should engaged the guests in special way.

I will focus on the things that really appeal to my bride and groom and emphasize the style of the celebration. I make a list of all the items that guests can pay attention to at the wedding I am organizing. Then I choose the details of the wedding that I want to improve or personalize so that each element I include in the wedding design tells the love story of my bride and groom. This is really important!

See examples of beautiful weddings organized and designed by me in various styles:

  • Luxury wedding in Salt Mine in Wieliczka
  • Tuscan style wedding in Krakow

There’s a lot to think about when planning your big day - especialy in the midst of the coronavirus crisis. You might be wondering what you should do - to Postpone or Cancel? I will try to answer some of the most important topics on this, today.

COVID-19 in Poland, Coronavirus, Coronavirus pandemic in Poland, Wedding in Poland To Postpone or Cancel?, Wedding Planner and Coronavirus
 PHOTO FROM: STANDARD.CO.UK

If you are planning a wedding in Poland this year, you are certainly also analyzing this difficult situation at the moment and wondering how the coronovirus epidemic can affect your big day. First of all, keep calm and stay in touch with your subcontractors / vendors and get ready for Plan B.

The situation around the coronavirus epidemic is changing dynamically. WHO (World Health Organization - editor's note) announced a pandemic in the world and an epidemic emergency was introduced in Poland. The key for organizing a wedding in Poland is now that it is not possible to organize a wedding. A ban on religious gatherings and meetings of more than 5 people was introduced. Restaurants and wedding venues are closed i Poland. Answers to questions are also unknown - when will life be normal and free of coronavirus again.

Both you - the young couple and even the most experienced people from the wedding industry could not have foreseen a global pandemic that will affect the shape and schedule of the planned ceremony nad reception. That is why it is important not to panic and try to get along with the owners of the venues, music bands / DJs, photographers and other your subcontractors. It is a difficult situation for everyone, so I believe that together you will try to find the golden solution.

Wedding and coronavirus. Better postpone than cancel.

Development of plan B, the so-called Emergency for your wedding and reception should be a priority.  Right now, I am advising those marrying in May and June to push their weddings to later in the summer or fall. This solution will give you greater psychological comfort. Contact your subcontractors - because of the current situation. They are ready to change the concluded contract and even to work in a new time available to everyone. A wedding in autumn or winter can also be beautiful. Also, don't be afraid to transfer the organization of the wedding to any day from Monday to Friday or Sunday. If you are planning a wedding in the summer and are thinking of canceling it, then first consider all options before you completely cancel it. Cancellations can be caused by losing money. We do not know if there will still be any restrictions in the summer, so it will be more difficult to recover advances when you would like to cancel summer wedding or later wedding.

Please see for example, autumn wedding in Poland

Keep calm and stay in touch with your subcontractors

Regardless of the situation, remember to remain calm and continue your preparations. No doubt it's a crazy time for everyone. In addition to your family and friends, there are also your subcontractors who will certainly try to help you navigate the entire topic related to the organization of weddings during the epidemic. And I am hopefully celebrate beautiful festivities when everyone is safe!

I have some advice for brides- and grooms-to-be planning a wedding right now - make sure you have an experienced team. Having a planner who is well connected is going to be very helpful to help you navigate any of those changes along the way.

If you are looking for any support of organizing a wedding in Poland, please write to me. Together we can do more!

You just got engaged and and planning a wedding in Poland, big congrats! Getting the ring is the best feeling in the world... but what happens next?!

There are a few things from taking a ring selfie to choosing a venue for the wedding in Poland, which you should cover to enjoy this engagment moment and navigate wedding planning with little stress as possible! Kick off your wedding planning by following my checklist from below.

1. After your engagement, have time for yourself

Before you leave the world with the joyful news of your engagement or fall into the flow of wedding preparations, stop for a moment and focus on each other. Now the most important you both are and the celebration of this wonderful moment. It is even possible that these are the last moments of peace for you, especially if you plan to get married quickly.

2. Tell your family and friends

First inform about the engagement of your loved ones, I mean mainly family and those who are closest to your heart. It's good to do this before announcing the joyous news on social media.Let's announce the joyful news by phone or personally if you have the opportunity. Preparation of some cake and champagne is welcome.

PHOTO FROM: 100LAYERCAKE.COM

3. Set a wedding date

The most desirable wedding dates and locations are booked well in advance, so setting a wedding date should be a priority. Practice shows that wedding venues in Poland are reserved up to two / three years ahead. Therefore, right after the engagement, determining the date of the wedding is actually the most important, if you are planning a wedding in Poland.

4. Guest list

Before you start looking for a place for a wedding in Poland, think about the size of your wedding and whether you want to organize it at all.
The list of guests and the type of wedding ceremony are extremely important, because they give information about what budget you need to set and which place to celebrate the wedding you will be looking for.

5. Set a budget

This is a very important point, because the budget includes the costs of the photographer, music band, decoration, catering, wedding dress and suit etc. Therefore, you must be sure that you will be able to cover all expenses.

At this point, I encourage you to use the services of a wedding planner who will help you draw a reliable budget for wedding in Poland. The Wedding Planner will help you also find the best services and place that will make your wedding special, regardless of how high your budget is.

Here are a few short words about the wedding budget in my article: Wedding budget - how to plan expenses for weddings.

6. Think about the venue for wedding in Poland

Remember, you now have two families. Therefore, it is a reasonable idea to find a wedding venue in Poland where everyone will have convenient access.

Be sure to check out my article here: Agreement with wedding venue in Poland

7. Vision of the wedding in Poland

What is your imagine of the wedding day? What decorations dominate? What colors and style? Do you dream of an outdoor wedding, or maybe in a beautiful palace interior? After dealing with the most important issues, which is the budget, guest list and wedding date, it's time for ... dreams. This is the time when you search thousands of catalogs in search of inspiration.

I hope my guide will help you clarify things related to things to do right after your engagement, especially if you are planning a wedding in Poland.
Have a happy planning!

Be Inspired,
Dorota Nowakowska.
